The Cafe
The Portrait Cafe is tucked away at the back of the National Portrait Gallery overlooking the High Court & Reconciliation place. The Portrait cafe is perfect as a cosy space in the winter months for excellent coffee & serves a delicious array of daily changing sweets or a simple, fresh seasonal lunch with a glass of local wine to help you re-energise after a stimulating morning viewing the latest exhibition within the gallery.

Overlooking the stunning Lake Burley Griffin & surrounding parkland, and as one of only five countries in the world with a Portrait Gallery, Australia's National Portrait Gallery is perfect for your next event, conference, wedding or corporate cocktail reception.

Various function spaces are available for hire within the Gallery, from the stunning Gordon Darling Entrance Hall which is perfect for corporate cocktail parties to the Terrace rooms which open onto a heated terrace overlooking Reconciliation Place, the High Court of Australia and Lake Burley Griffin. Ideal spaces for conferences, launches, weddings & all manner of private & corporate celebrations.
